Brogues or Wingtips & Oxfords are all terms applied to the traditional construction of men's shoes. The three terms refer to different design details. Specific details aside, this section is full of smart or semi-smart shoes which can be worn with anything from suits to jeans.

Smart Designer Shoes

Smart men's shoes have, for many years now, had to take second place, with the rise of the mighty trainer. Having got used to the comfort and practicality of trainers it's hard to go back to more traditional footwear.

With modern methods of construction, super light weight leathers & light modern glued composite soles, much of the pain involved with 'breaking in' of the classic shape shoe has gone; they are now comfortable straight out of the box. Indeed some of the traditional designs we now sell are hybrids with rubber trainer style soles.
