STONE ISLAND REGULAR TAPERED JEAN IN DARK BLUE RINSE
Regular
The return into favour of dark denim jeans has been gathering momentum for two or three seasons.
Classic Dark Denim Designs
There are several different incarnations of this particular wash, from completely raw denim, without any wash at all, to dark rinse wash, where the jean has been given a low detergent rinse, keeping the deep denim colour but giving a softer feel to the fabric.
The return of the dark wash jean has been attributed to G-Star who designed whole collections of jeans around the Raw concept as long as ten years ago. The original idea was to wear the jean for a while and when washed it would take on the unique characteristics of the owner. While this is true and a fantastic final effect can be achieved. Most people prefer to buy their jeans pre-washed
Keeping on the Dark Side
Part of the newfound popularity of dark jeans is keeping the denim's deep colour; to achieve this it is best not to wash the jean, so dry clean only. The dark denim look is crisp and clean cut, best worn in classic straight leg or slim cut jeans, or in a modern articulated jean such as the G-Star Elwood.
So with dark denim it's easy to achieve a cool look from different cuts and there's plenty on offer from Zee & Co. every season. With brands like Armani, Hugo Boss, G-Star and Chef de Ville all with strong collections.
