GStar The Art of Raw

The process of production is known as the Art of Raw, G Star uses traditional and time consuming methods to create the ultimate pair of jeans. The starting process begins with the finest quality cotton. The cotton is spun, to create yarn, this fine strings are referred to as silver. Once the yarn is spun it is dipped in natural indigo dye to produce the classic deep denim blue. The more times the yarn is dipped the deeper blue. The yarn is then weaved to create the perfect pair of jeans. Virtually all pairs of jeans are lined in the back pocket for extra protection.

GStar Fashion History

In 1996 G-Star launched Raw and many pairs of jeans now feature 96 on them to commemorate this date in the fashion label’s history. Other numbers including 3306 are codes given to the various processes that the jeans go through to make the end product.
