Founded in the heart of classic Americana culture, Alpha Industries started life as a supplier to the US Air Force and other military for personnel clothing items, notably their flight jackets. Originally started with just a few staff making jackets in the basement of a factory, the business began to boom with the onset of the Vietnam War, and suddenly high-quality and expertly crafted items were required by not just the US forces, but those worldwide.

From Knoxville, Tennessee, the classic flight and bomber jackets were shipped out globally and quickly became a status symbol amongst both service personnel and civilians alike. For 20 years, the only adaptations Alpha made of their clothes for public use was colour. However, as the Reagan administration boosted businesses and spending, their commercial focus extended and they branched out into junior and childrenswear – which Zee and Co are now a trusted stockist of. Still as hard wearing as the military pieces, even the most active of boys won’t wear these clothes out!
