Founded in the early 1980s in Fidenza, Italy, the Pinko brand is highly influenced by its Italian roots and has become renowned for their innovative and contemporary designs that push the style boundaries. CEO Pietro Negra started the brand alongside fellow entrepreneur Cristina Rubini and has since been joined by his two daughters Cecilia and Caterina, who work on the communications side of the business. Their success can largely be held accountable to their innovative use of technology and attention to detail when creating fashion forward designs that truly stand out.
The original concept behind the brand was "fast fashion" for women, creating and releasing new lines almost on a weekly basis in order to keep up with changing trends and market demands. Though the idea was incredibly popular with customers who like to stay on top of the latest fashion, the quick production rate was hard to keep up with. For this reason, they decided to change their strategy, to creating "semi-planned" fashion, that was a middle ground between "fast-fashion" and ready to wear lines and later making another shift to creating coordinated looks in place of fast fashion.
Their collection for girls offers stylish designs with attitude, encompassing vivid colours and bold prints. The unique cuts and contemporary styles are full of fun and personality, bringing energy to little girls' wardrobes.
